Workshop: WRITING DOWN YOUR LIFE
Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Class Description: Bestselling author Julie L. Cannon will lead this workshop designed for those who desire to record their memories. The goal of Writing Down Your Life is to teach skills needed to revive personal experiences and to fill in the gaps to shape them into polished stories. The first day of this workshop will encourage participants to tap into the raw emotion that leads to powerful writing. It includes an exercise in exploring childhood fears, and using the five senses to write deeper. The second day will focus on learning ways to handle painful subject matter, how writing can help set you free, and will include an optional opportunity to read your work aloud to the class in a nurturing, safe environment.
Materials needed – student’s choice of either a pen and paper, or a laptop computer.
